Why? Because Art Frahm

We were set with the task of coming up with an image for a coworker's birthday cake. It was really a mix between her undying love of skeletor and our recent discovery of the 50's pinup artist Art Frahm, who's entire schtick was women who's panties had suddenly fallen around their ankles (see link above)

This was the result.

It's been a while since I've done one of these, so here's some sketches from the last month. Animal sketches are from high park zoo and a fair that showed up near my house. People sketches are from various go train/subway rides.

Recently I downloaded the entire discography of Hans Zimmer. Included on it was this clip from the movie "Insignificance." There was so much good stuff here I couldn't resist trying to capture it.

An old friend contacted me about doing this for her wedding. Instead of signing a guestbook guests will sign paper leaves which will be glued onto the painting, and then podged.

basically drew a pretty horse and wanted a rider to go with it.

Factoids:
Female knights did exist in many parts of Europe, they were called "dames" instead.
The term chivalry originally had nothing to do with being polite. It refers to horsemanship.
